Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how FARIVO (“FARIVO,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the FARIVO website, progressive web app, Android app, and related travel-planning services (collectively, the “Service”).

Information we collect

• Account information: name, email address, profile image, authentication identifiers, and account preferences when you sign in.
• Travel and app content: destinations, dates, itineraries, traveler preferences, saved places, trip-sharing choices, messages or prompts submitted to planning features, and other content you choose to provide.
• Location information: current or approximate location only when you request location-based maps, directions, safety, or nearby-place features and grant device permission.
• Photos and community content: images, captions, reports, reactions, and other material you choose to upload or publish.
• Technical information: device and browser type, app version, IP address, timestamps, error and security logs, and similar diagnostic information needed to operate and protect the Service.
• Purchase information: subscription product, entitlement, and transaction status. Payment processors handle payment credentials; FARIVO does not receive your complete card or bank-account number.

How we use information

We use information to provide and personalize travel plans; save and synchronize trips; enable maps, directions, sharing, collaboration, community, safety, and support features; process subscription entitlements; secure and troubleshoot the Service; prevent abuse; comply with law; and improve FARIVO.

Farivo planning and photo features

When you use Farivo planning or photo-analysis features, relevant prompts, trip details, or images may be sent to an artificial-intelligence service provider to generate the requested result. Do not submit information you do not want processed for that purpose. Farivo results may be inaccurate and should be verified before travel.

Community photo analysis and screening

When you select a community photo, an owner-only temporary copy is processed by Google Cloud Vision for SafeSearch, scene labels, and possible landmarks to suggest editable place and description text. The temporary analysis copy is deleted after processing. When you submit photos, Vision SafeSearch estimates whether they may contain adult, racy, or violent content. A clear result may allow publication; uncertain results or screening errors hold the post for human review. A reviewer may examine the photos and accompanying post. Automated analysis may be inaccurate and cannot guarantee detection of every unsafe image.

Voice input and analytics

Voice input is optional. When you use the microphone, your device or browser speech-recognition service processes audio and may send it to its provider's servers. FARIVO receives the recognized text as an editable draft and does not store raw voice recordings on its servers. Review the text before sending it to the planning service. Your speech provider's privacy controls apply to its handling of audio.

Google Analytics helps us understand app interactions and errors. It can process technical identifiers and approximate region inferred from an IP address. FARIVO's app-event parameters exclude the text of your travel prompts, saved itineraries, email address, and precise coordinates.

How information is disclosed

We may disclose information to service providers that help operate FARIVO, including Google services such as Firebase, Authentication, Maps, Places, Play, and cloud hosting; artificial-intelligence processing providers; payment and subscription processors; and travel providers or affiliate partners when you choose to open their sites. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

We also disclose information when you intentionally share a trip, collaborate with another user, publish community content, direct us to do so, or when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud, or complete a business transfer. We do not sell personal information for money.

Choices and permissions

You can decline location, microphone, and photo permissions, use available local-mode features, control trip-sharing access, remove content where the Service provides that option, and manage subscriptions through the applicable app store. Device permissions can be changed in your device settings. For access or correction requests, email farivoap@gmail.com. To delete your account and associated data, or selected data while keeping your account, use our account and data deletion page. We verify and complete deletion requests within 30 calendar days after receiving them, including account verification.

Retention and security

While your account is active, we retain information as needed to provide and protect the Service. When you request account deletion, we delete associated data except records that applicable law requires us to retain. We keep those records only for the legally required period, then delete them. We identify any retained records and the applicable period in our response to your request. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no system is completely secure.

Children

FARIVO is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided such information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

International use

Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws different from those where you live.

Third-party services

FARIVO links to third-party travel, maps, booking, and payment services. A third party’s handling of information is governed by its own privacy policy. FARIVO does not make travel purchases on your behalf.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as FARIVO changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service.
